The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has visited Costa Rican President Laura Fernández, praying for peace and divine blessings upon the Central American nation during his international ministry engagement. Adeboye disclosed the visit in a social media post on Tuesday, October 20, saying he was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, when they visited the presidency. The cleric said they were warmly received by Fernández and described the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen relationships while discussing faith, hope, peace and the transformation of lives. “It was a great honour to visit the Presidency of Costa Rica alongside my beloved wife @pastorfoluadeboye during the National Crusade of Hope,” Adeboye wrote. He added that the Christian message transcended national borders, languages and cultures, reaffirming the church's commitment to spreading the gospel across nations. Adeboye Prays for Costa Rica During the visit, the RCCG leader prayed for Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, expressing hope that the country would continue to experience peace, healing and restoration. “May the Lord bless President Laura Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, and may this nation continue to experience the goodness and peace of God,” he said. Adeboye concluded his message with a quotation from Habakkuk 2:14, expressing the biblical hope that the knowledge of God's glory would fill the earth. Photographs shared alongside his announcement showed the pastor with his wife, their son, Leke Adeboye, and other church officials. The visit formed part of Adeboye's participation in the National Crusade of Hope, a Christian gathering held at Costa Rica's National Stadium in San José on Saturday, October 17. ### RCCG Holds National Crusade of Hope The National Crusade of Hope was organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God in collaboration with the Costa Rican Evangelical Alliance Federation. The event featured Christian music performers Tercer Cielo and Averly Morillo, alongside religious activities centred on worship, prayer and the Christian message of hope. The gathering attracted attention in Costa Rica, where organisers presented it as an opportunity for people from different communities to come together through faith. A report published by CBN News on October 19 said approximately 60,000 people attended the crusade at the National Stadium. The report described the gathering as a day of Christian music, worship and prayer. The event also featured calls for participants to embrace the Christian faith, with organisers emphasising hope, reconciliation and spiritual transformation. Adeboye's visit to the presidency followed the crusade as part of his engagement in the country. ### Adeboye's International Ministry Adeboye is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a Nigerian-founded Pentecostal denomination with an international presence. His ministry has included religious gatherings and engagements across several countries, with the church seeking to expand its evangelism and community outreach activities internationally. The Costa Rica visit adds to those international engagements, bringing together religious outreach and a meeting with the country's president. While Adeboye's public statement focused on faith, peace and strengthening relationships, neither his post nor the PUNCH report indicated that the meeting resulted in a formal government agreement or policy announcement. The visit therefore centred on the pastor's participation in the National Crusade of Hope and his prayers for the president and the people of Costa Rica.
