Keyamo said Nigerians were now more prepared to examine claims made by the former Anambra governor as another election approaches. He also argued that the amount of political discussion surrounding Obi reflected the number of claims being made about his record. The Anambra State Government has challenged aspects of Obi's account. The Whistler reported that the state said external loans contracted during Obi's administration still had an outstanding balance as of June 30, 2026.
