Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed just how deeply his love for Arsenal runs, saying he would choose a Premier League title for the club over winning a Grammy Award. The rapper made the surprising comparison during a recent interview with popular British DJ and broadcaster, DJ Semtex, where he reflected on Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League title and some of the emotions surrounding the club’s campaign. Odumodublvck, who is a well-known Arsenal supporter, recalled an encounter with Super Eagles midfielder Eberechi Eze following Arsenal’s defeat to Manchester City. According to the rapper, he met Eze the following day while both were involved in a New Balance commercial. Despite the setback, Eze reportedly reassured him that Arsenal would still go on to win the league. “When we lost to Manchester City, I saw Eze the next day when we were doing a New Balance commercial and he told me we’re gonna win the league and I said yes, I believe,” Odumodublvck said. For the rapper, however, supporting Arsenal goes beyond simply following football results. He explained that watching the club finally secure the Premier League title would hold a personal significance that even the music industry's biggest individual honour could not match. “So stuff like that for me, winning the league was everything,” he said. Taking the comparison further, Odumodublvck said that if he were given the choice between receiving a Grammy and watching Arsenal win the Premier League, his decision would be immediate. “If you gave me the opportunity to win a Grammy Award or, let’s ask now, win that Premier League, I would have chosen that Premier League. Take it to the bank,” he said. He maintained his position when asked to reconsider the hypothetical choice, referring to Arsenal’s controversial 2024/25 campaign and a disputed goal in their defeat to West Ham. The rapper argued that even having the opportunity to change such a moment and give Arsenal the league title would be preferable to receiving a Grammy. His comments have since drawn attention among football and music fans, particularly because the Grammy is widely regarded as one of the highest honours an artiste can receive. Odumodublvck’s remarks nevertheless underline the unusual passion he has consistently shown for Arsenal. His support for the North London club has become a familiar part of his public identity, with the rapper frequently combining his music persona with his enthusiasm for football. For Odumodublvck, the choice appears simple: a Premier League title for Arsenal would be worth more than one of music’s most prestigious awards.
