Creators to Compete for Contracts Paying ₦200,000 Monthly

Content creators, photographers, videographers and social media managers are set to compete for paid contracts worth up to ₦200,000 monthly at the second edition of the Delta Creators and Influencers Hangout (DCIH).
The event, scheduled for November 5, 2026, at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, Delta State, is designed to connect creative professionals with businesses seeking talent for their marketing and communication needs.
Organisers said the initiative would feature a segment called Creators Pitch, where shortlisted applicants will present ideas directly to participating businesses.
Under the arrangement, successful candidates will secure two-month paid engagements, with monthly remuneration ranging from ₦150,000 to ₦200,000. Contracts may be extended beyond the initial period depending on performance and mutual agreement.
Applicants are expected to submit their details and samples of their work. Those shortlisted will receive information about participating brands and prepare practical pitches demonstrating how their skills could support the businesses.
The participating business owners will select suitable candidates, after which successful matches will sign agreements outlining payment, responsibilities, deliverables and engagement dates.
However, applying for the opportunity or making the shortlist does not guarantee a contract.
The initiative is being organised by Henrietta Enwereaku, a media professional and Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Media. The first edition of DCIH was held in January 2025.
The 2026 edition, themed “We Are the Culture,” seeks to create more commercial opportunities for creative professionals while promoting the state's culture and creative economy.
Another feature, The Culture Yard, will provide participating creative studios and businesses with an opportunity to showcase their workspaces and services. Visitors will be able to take photographs, produce short videos, record conversations and explore services they may later book.
The programme will also include mentorship, professional discussions, networking, cultural showcases and recognition of creative talent. Organisers are additionally seeking equipment support, including cameras, laptops, smartphones and production accessories, for selected emerging creatives.
The initiative comes as Nigerian creative professionals continue to seek more reliable ways to earn from their skills beyond social media visibility and occasional brand partnerships.
By bringing businesses and creators together in a live pitching environment, the organisers hope to encourage commercial relationships that can continue beyond the event.
The proposed contracts offer selected participants an opportunity to gain paid experience, establish business connections and potentially secure longer-term engagements.
