Poco Lee Remanded in UK Over Alleged Assault, Set to Appear in Court in September Popular Nigerian dancer and socialite Iweh Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, is currently on remand in the United Kingdom over an alleged assault offence and is expected to appear before a London court in September. The development was disclosed by Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby and founder of the Community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom. Speaking with our correspondent on Monday, Kuti said Poco Lee is currently being held in a UK prison and is scheduled to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, at 10 a.m. Kuti said he was aware of the case because he regularly attends court proceedings and supports Nigerians facing legal issues in the UK. “I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” he said. He explained that a plea hearing is typically the stage at which an accused person indicates whether they intend to plead guilty or not guilty to the charge. Kuti added that he plans to attend the proceedings as part of his ongoing support for members of the Nigerian community in the UK.
